Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package (7.5 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place biscuit dough on top of the beef mixture.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot.
