Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package (7.5 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place biscuit dough on top of the beef mixture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef mixture.
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
