Description

A warm, gooey skillet dip with cream cheese, apples, and caramel. Perfect for dipping cookies, fruit, or pretzels at your next gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into a small oven-safe skillet (about 8-10 inches).
  6. Dollop the caramel topping over the apple mixture.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped pecans, if using.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and bubbly around the edges.
  9. Drizzle with additional caramel topping before serving.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite dippers.

Notes

  • You can use any type of apple you prefer, such as Gala, Honeycrisp, or Fuji.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
  • If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, you can bake the dip in a small baking dish.
