- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, heavy cream, and sour cream.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Bring mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove skillet from heat. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier casserole, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute Gruyere cheese for cheddar for a different flavor.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
