Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine beef with cornstarch.
  2. Whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add broccoli and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour sauce over beef and broccoli.
  7. Cook until sauce thickens and broccoli is tender.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your taste.
  • Serve over rice for a complete meal.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar.
