Description

Delicious chocolate madeleines, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • Chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and thick.
  3. Add vanilla extract and melted butter.
  4. Gradually whisk in the dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips (optional).
  6. Refrigerate the batter for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour madeleine molds.
  8. Spoon batter into molds.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
  10. Let cool in molds for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
