Ingredients

  • 12 ounces good quality dark chocolate, chopped
  • 12 ounces good quality white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes


Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate gently using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals. Stir until smooth.
  3. Spread the melted dark chocolate evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Allow the dark chocolate to set partially.
  5. Melt the white chocolate similarly. Stir in the peppermint extract.
  6. Drizzle or spread the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer.
  7. Immediately sprinkle the crushed candy canes evenly over the white chocolate.
  8. Let the bark set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
  9. Once firm, break the bark into pieces.
