Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
