- 1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk and butter until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Pour heavy cream and chicken broth into the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over mashed potatoes.

- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
