- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot. Drain any fat.
- Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then add lasagna noodles.
- Cook until noodles are tender.
- Stir in ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese.
- Garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like carrots or celery.
- Use your favorite type of ground meat.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
