Description

A simple and delicious chili recipe made in a Crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped onions


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain any grease.
  2. Add beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the Crockpot.
  3. Stir in kidney beans, pinto beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat.
  • For a thicker chili, you can mash some of the beans.
