Description

A hearty and comforting casserole with ground beef, pasta, and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces pasta, such as elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain off any grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add pasta and water.
  6. Cover and cook until pasta is tender.
  7. Stir in cheese until melted.
  8. Serve hot.

  • You can add other vegetables, like bell peppers or mushrooms.
