Description

Festive Christmas Cranberry Roll Ups are a delightful and easy appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings. These roll-ups combine cream cheese, tart cranberries, and savory herbs wrapped in a tortilla for a burst of flavor and color.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large (10-inch) flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dried cranberries, parsley, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread about one-quarter of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Tightly roll up the tortilla from one edge to the other.
  4. Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. This step makes slicing easier.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 with the remaining tortillas and cream cheese mixture.
  6. Once chilled, unwrap the rolled tortillas. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Arrange the Cranberry Roll Ups on a serving platter and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture for a hint of spice.
  • If you don’t have fresh herbs, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried parsley and 1/2 teaspoon of dried chives.
  • These can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
