Description
Festive Christmas Cranberry Roll Ups are a delightful and easy appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings. These roll-ups combine cream cheese, tart cranberries, and savory herbs wrapped in a tortilla for a burst of flavor and color.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large (10-inch) flour tortillas
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dried cranberries, parsley, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread about one-quarter of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Tightly roll up the tortilla from one edge to the other.
- Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. This step makes slicing easier.
- Repeat steps 2-4 with the remaining tortillas and cream cheese mixture.
- Once chilled, unwrap the rolled tortillas. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
- Arrange the Cranberry Roll Ups on a serving platter and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a festive touch, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture for a hint of spice.
- If you don’t have fresh herbs, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried parsley and 1/2 teaspoon of dried chives.
- These can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
