Description

A simple one-pot meal featuring garlic butter shrimp and orzo.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pot.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add garlic to the pot and cook briefly.
  5. Stir in orzo and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in chicken broth.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until orzo is cooked (about 10-12 minutes).
  8. Stir in butter.
  9. Add shrimp back to the pot.
  10. Garnish with parsley.
  11. Serve immediately.
