Description

These Halloween dumplings are a fun and festive addition to your spooky dinner. They are shaped like ghosts and pumpkins, making them perfect for a Halloween party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup chopped Napa cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 30-40 round dumpling wrappers
  • Water for sealing
  • Optional: Black sesame seeds for ghost eyes

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, Napa cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edge of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal.
  4. To make ghost shapes, leave the half-moon shape as is. For pumpkin shapes, pinch the top center of the half-moon and twist to create a pumpkin stem shape.
  5. If making ghost dumplings, press two small black sesame seeds into the top half of the dumpling for eyes.
  6. Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.
  7. Cook the dumplings by boiling, steaming, or pan-frying according to your preference.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground chicken or turkey for the pork.
  • For a vegetarian option, use finely chopped mushrooms and tofu.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
