Description

Classic hamburger steak with rich onion gravy.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook patties until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add sliced onions to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic, then sprinkle with flour. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in beef broth. Add Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Return patties to the skillet. Simmer until gravy thickens.
  7. Serve hot.
