- 2 lbs beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter
- 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the beef cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef cubes on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the seared beef to your slow cooker.
- Add minced garlic, butter, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary to the slow cooker.
- Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- Remove beef from the slow cooker and shred or chop into smaller bites if desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or with a side of vegetables.
