- 3 cups milk

- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Stir in salt, pepper, and cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine. Serve immediately.

- For a creamier sauce, use whole milk.
- Add other cheeses like Gruyere or Monterey Jack for extra flavor.
