- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place flour in another shallow dish.
- In a third shallow dish, whisk the eggs.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use seasoned breadcrumbs.
- You can add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Serve with your favorite pasta or vegetables.
