A simple and delicious ‘Marry Me’ tortellini recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 pound cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound Italian sausage, removed from casing
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, oil-packed, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking it up, until browned.
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Stir in basil.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust seasonings to your preference.
- You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
- Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
