- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 ounces noodles (such as lo mein or spaghetti)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the ground beef. Cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the beef and sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
- Serve hot.

- For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
