Description

A quick and flavorful Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles recipe perfect for a weeknight dinner. This dish combines savory ground beef with tender noodles in a rich, sweet, and savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 ounces noodles (such as lo mein or spaghetti)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the ground beef. Cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the beef and sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • Other vegetables like broccoli florets or sliced bell peppers can be added.
