Description
Recreate the Pappadeaux Mardi Gras Pasta at home. This copycat recipe delivers a flavorful Cajun pasta experience.

- 1 pound pasta (penne or similar)
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound andouille sausage, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
- Add sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Add bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Add cooked pasta, sausage, and shrimp to the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Serve immediately.

- Use chicken or crawfish instead of shrimp.
