Make delicious butter chicken at home quickly.
Ingredients
- Chicken: 1.5 lbs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Butter: 4 tbsp
- Onion: 1, chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbsp
- Tomato puree: 1 cup
- Garam masala: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
- Chili powder: 1 tsp (adjust to taste)
- Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
- Salt: To taste
- Cilantro: For garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with salt and ginger-garlic paste.
- Melt butter in a pan. Sauté onions until golden.
- Add tomato puree, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add chicken and cook until browned.
- Pour in heavy cream. Simmer until chicken is cooked.
- Garnish with cilantro. Serve hot.

- Serve with rice or naan.

- For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of butter.
