- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to your taste)
- Cooked rice for serving
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain any excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour sauce over the beef mixture. Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Serve over cooked rice.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
- You can add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
- For a vegetarian option, use plant-based ground.
