This is a simple recipe for Salisbury steak. It’s an easy and delicious meal using ground beef.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed beef broth
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper.
- Form into oval patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet.
- Brown patties on both sides.
- Remove patties.
- In the same skillet, whisk together beef broth, water, flour, and soy sauce.
- Bring to a simmer, stirring until thickened.
- Return patties to the skillet.
- Simmer for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
- Add mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
- You can use any type of ground beef.
