A classic comfort food, this Skillet Beef Stroganoff skips the mushrooms for a creamy, delicious meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles, for serving


Instructions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear beef until browned, then remove.
  4. Add onion to skillet and cook until softened.
  5. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Whisk together beef broth, sour cream, flour, and Dijon mustard.
  7. Pour sauce into skillet and bring to a simmer.
  8. Return beef to skillet and cook until heated through.
  9. Serve over egg noodles.
