Ingredients

- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove meatballs and set aside.
- In the same skillet, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, water, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and sauce has thickened.
- Serve the Salisbury steak meatballs with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, you can add a minced garlic clove to the meatball mixture.
- If you don’t have cream of mushroom soup, you can substitute with cream of beef soup.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a complete meal.
