Description

A classic sweet potato casserole topped with melted marshmallows, perfect for holidays or any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 2 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Top the sweet potato mixture with mini marshmallows.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until marshmallows are golden brown and melted.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the sweet potato mixture.
  • If you don’t have mini marshmallows, you can use regular marshmallows cut into smaller pieces.
