Description
A hearty and flavorful chili recipe. It’s packed with ground beef, beans, and spices.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic.
- Add kidney beans, pinto beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cover.
- Cook for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the heat.
- For a thicker chili, you can mash some of the beans.
- Top with sour cream, shredded cheese, or your favorite chili toppings.
